From Tim

I am thinking Dinner, this Sunday, at my friends house who I am dog sitting for, 317 N Mayfield. They have THREE (3) grills in which to smoke, grill, barbeque, and otherwise cook over fire methods of preparing meat. I was thinking of purchasing hard wood charcole and fruit wood for smoking, cooking some sides and a dessert maybe, and then everyone else, that is you all hungry vultures, could bring sausages, lamb chops, steaks, beer can chicken or something to potluck the meat and we can all grill together. Show up when ever expect to eat around seven or so, so if you bring something that take two hours to smoke show up before five, or if it takes twenty minuets to grill show up at six thirty in the pm (1830 hours for the military minded people). What do you think?

Hey...I must be retarded. I can't figure out how to post other than as a comment to a post. WTF? Someone clue me in...

BTW, I ran into Claire this morning on the bus. She's alive but very busy. She's out of town this weekend.

You haven't been added as a contributor, complain to Reese about that.

I shall bring some tasty sausages to this dinner feast.

Cynthia, if you want to be able to post, I'll enable that :) Good to know that Claire is still with us! We'll definitely come on Sunday - can't wait.

That sounds absolutely fabulous! I enjoy meat, grills and tasty tasty sausages (which I suppose could be encompassed in the 'meat' category).

Again, I'll give a 50/50 for being there. Hopefully I'll come back with firmer plans... Firmer plans for meat...

I will not be attending. Enjoy the smoked stuff!

Don't forget the wine.

hmmm... sounds both delightful and delicious, however, it is also hell-a-far. I can only offer a 'maybe' right now, which outrageously lame. But I will post a more definite answer soon.

I'm going to give it a 50/50 myself. I hope to feel better by tomorrow, but right now, it doesn't seem likely. :(

Peter, it is closer then you think. Take the Green West towards Howard and get off at Austin and then it is a block away. Or bum a ride.

Speaking of rides - can I bum one too? Ben's going to be busy with work stuff tomorrow and may not make it until much later.

While I appreciate the directions - and it does sound simple enough - I'm going to have to pass this week anyway. Going to see the symphony this afternoon, and then I need to sort some stuff out at home before I start school on Tues. egad!
